War Graves

There are military families and military dynasties and then you have families who served their country for reasons of patriotism because it was the right thing to do at the time (freedom, democracy etc)

The Wheelock’s are the latter. In all my years I have never found any information, documentary or otherwise (hearsay) that we are a military family. On the contrary it seems Wheelock’s, even now, have tended to excel in business, politics and commerce.

Having said that, Wheelock family members have served in all branches of the armed forces (Navy, Army, Air force) but it has never been a generational tradition from what I can ascertain.

This chapter is in honour of all those who have come before us and died fighting for what they believe in. This will continuously be updated.
